The Opportunity:
The Facilities and Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) Coordinator position reports directly to the Associate Manager, Facilities and is located on-site at Mattel’s Fisher-Price campus in East Aurora (EA), New York.
What Your Impact Will Be:
East Aurora campus Facilities
- Coordinates and schedules Facilities services for maximum efficiency through work orders and effective use of department resources.
- Administers work order program; initiates and follows up on work orders for Facilities services requested by customers.
- Schedules office moves/builds; issues work orders and provides drawings.
- Updates drawings of the EA campus and buildings as needed.
- Purchases supplies for facilities maintenance and repairs as needed; evaluates vendors for the purchase of non-production supplies and the outsourcing of facilities-related services.
- Manages campus EV charging stations.
- Maintains and updates campus signage, coordinates with EA leaders and Mattel staff for graphic production.
- Handles all utilities including contracts, billing, usage and reporting.
- Manages waste streams including contracts, billing and collection.
- Provides support to Director, Facilities and books travel for department when necessary.
Environmental Health & Safety (EHS)
- Active support, alignment and implementation with Mattel’s EHS strategy; coordinates EHS training and documentation; leads EHS safety committee meetings and maintains records.
- Monitors compliance with established plans and programs through regular safety walks identifying areas of non-compliance and opportunities for improvement.
- Coordinates the submission of required EHS regulatory reports to external agencies.
- Records injuries and incidents, submit reports to internal stakeholders and assist in conducting investigations and root cause analysis.
What We’re Looking For:
- Minimum of high school diploma or equivalent.
- 3-5 years related experience desired.
- Exemplary attendance and job performance.
- Travel is required 4-5 times per year, Domestic & International.
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to recommend practical strategies.
- Ability to perform multiple tasks in a fast-changing environment.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to communicate effectively with all levels within the organization and provide effective, professional customer service.
- Basic computer skills with knowledge of Outlook, Word, Excel, and Oracle or similar programs.
- Knowledge of Auto CAD a plus.
- Mature judgment and strong organizational skills.
- Demonstrated a growth mindset by staying curious and continuously learning, embracing challenges, and improving themselves.
*The pay range is indicative of projected hiring range, however base pay will be determined based on a candidate’s work location, skills and experience.
