AutoMeter Products, Inc. was founded in 1957 and has been a fixture in downtown Sycamore, Illinois since 1979, manufacturing automotive aftermarket performance gauges and instrumentation in our over 100,000-square-foot production, engineering, and warehouse facilities. AutoMeter is IATF ISO/TS 16949-certified and deploys a hybrid vertical integration/sourced strategy with a strategic focus on the design, assembly, calibration, and verification processes performed in-house by skilled technicians. The company is the market leader in the performance and racing instrumentation market and serves as a first-tier supplier to specialty vehicle manufacturers.

Position Summary\n

We are seeking an experienced and results-driven Operations Manager to lead operations, production, and service activities for the instrumentation business at our Sycamore facility. This role owns manufacturing operations, in house repair operations, maintenance, stockroom/shipping/receiving functions, production-floor employee development, and continuous improvement initiatives.

The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader with a strong background in manufacturing operations, safety compliance, continuous improvement, and people supportive practices who will ensure operational excellence while meeting customer expectations for quality, cost, and delivery. We focus on continuous improvement and customer satisfaction and will expect the person we select for this position to embrace and drive these initiatives in everything they do.

Qualifications\n

Required

\n

• Bachelor's degree in Operations Management, Manufacturing, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent hands-on experience.

\n

• 5+ years of experience in a manager-level or above role in manufacturing operations with a desire to be on the floor. This isn’t an office job.

\n

• Applied experience with Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or continuous improvement methodologies, with a track record of measurable efficiency gains (formal certification a plus, not required).

\n

• Proficiency with ERP systems (experience with QAD Pro preferred) and Microsoft Office applications.

\n

• Experience operating in a certified manufacturing environment (e.g., ISO/TS 16949 or similar) preferred.

Compensation & Benefits\n

• Salary Range: $80,000 – $110,000 annually, based on experience
