BRANCH MANAGER — LANDSCAPE MAINTENANCE
About the Opportunity
We are seeking an experienced Branch Manager to lead the growth, operational performance, and financial success of a multi-million-dollar commercial landscape portfolio. This role carries full P&L responsibility and oversees branch operations, team leadership, client retention, and strategic business growth.
The ideal candidate is a hands-on business leader with deep experience in the commercial green industry who can balance operational execution with client relationship management and revenue expansion.
Key Responsibilities
Financial Leadership
- Own branch P&L performance, including budgeting, forecasting, labor management, and expense control
- Oversee invoicing, collections, and cash flow management
- Lead regular job-costing and gross profit reviews to ensure profitability targets are met
Operational Excellence
- Partner with operations leadership to optimize scheduling, logistics, fleet, and resource allocation
- Ensure all maintenance, irrigation, and installation work meets quality and safety standards
- Conduct regular field visits to audit performance and maintain a zero-harm safety culture
Client Management & Growth
- Oversee a portfolio of commercial landscape accounts with a focus on 95%+ retention
- Mentor account teams to identify and close enhancement opportunities
- Partner with business development to execute growth strategies across commercial, HOA, and municipal markets
- Serve as senior contact for key property managers, developers, and stakeholders
Team Leadership
- Recruit, develop, and mentor branch staff including operations leaders, account managers, and field supervisors
- Build a culture of accountability, communication, safety, and career development
Qualifications
- 5–8+ years of leadership experience in commercial landscaping or the green industry
- Proven success in branch, operations, or account management leadership
- Strong financial acumen including budgeting, forecasting, and P&L analysis
- Experience with CRM/project management tools and estimating platforms such as Aspire, Boss, or similar
- Valid driver's license required; industry certifications (ISA, OSHA, irrigation, arborist, etc.) preferred
- Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus
