RESPONSIBILITIES
Over the course of your career at GH Phipps, you’ll be expected to:
- Own the Company’s strategic business technologies aimed at expanding the business.
- Own the Company’s activities related to advanced analytics, data quality, data integration, business intelligence and artificial intelligence.
- Own the activities aimed at optimizing the business including the development of the Company’s technology strategy, and the implementation, maintenance, and advancement of effective and functional applications.
- Own the activities and services aimed at supporting the business through proven reliable basic services while controlling costs including IT helpdesk, cloud services, migrations and upgrades, infrastructure, cyber security, implementations, business continuity, and vendor negotiations.
- Own resolution of critical issues and the periodic analysis and evaluation of systems.
- Own the evaluation of emerging technologies, industry trends, and digital solutions relevant to the construction and professional services industries.
- Consult on technology priorities, governance standards, and modernization initiatives.
- Consult in the evaluation and selection of technology-enabled process improvements across operations, finance, project delivery, business development and administrative functions. Assist in the innovation and implementation of the same.
- Consult and assist in the cultural adaptations required for the Company to embrace data-driven decision-making, business intelligence, artificial intelligence, and predictive analytics.
- Own the development of Company capabilities in data analytics, business intelligence, reporting, automation, and visualization.
- Own the processes of standardizing and integrating systems and workflows across the Company’s technology stack.
- Own Technology’s role in the Company’s cybersecurity practices, compliance and recovery align with applicable regulations, security standards, and organizational policies, including the Company’s Cybersecurity Maturity Model Certification and security protocols. Consult with other leaders in their area’s role(s) in the same.
- Own the outcomes of the Company’s technology infrastructure, cloud services, software licensing, and Technology’s trusted partnerships.
- Own the creation of opportunities for department employees through career pathing and professional development.
- Own the financial stewardship of the Technology department budget and capital expenditures focused on ensuring the organization has the right tools to accomplish its goals and strategic initiatives.
- Responsible for driving the Company’s culture of health and safety, collaboration, execution, stewardship, partnership, right tools, creating opportunity, and servant leadership.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
EDUCATION
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration with technology emphasis or equivalent (Master’s degree strongly preferred).
Relevant IT certifications (CISSP, CITM, ITIL, CISM,) preferred.
EXPERIENCE
- 10 years of experience in IT management or related work including 5 years of experience in Architecture, Engineering, and Construction services companies.
- Experience in oversight of cybersecurity, infrastructure strategy, cloud technologies, enterprise systems, business intelligence, and data governance.
- Experience managing technology across multiple locations preferred.

- Technology Engineering: Build, operate, and optimize business operations and technology capabilities to create operational value.
- Technology Architecture: Keep pace with new and emerging technologies and continually explore and experiment to keep an organization competitive.
- Data Analytics: Support decision making through descriptive, diagnostic, predictive, and ultimately build ability for prescriptive analytics.
- Data Literacy: Communicate insights gleaned from data to leadership and teach the skills of understanding and working with data.
- Artificial Intelligence: Drive, govern, and support the application of AI systems where such systems have true value in an organization.
- Cybersecurity: Ensure latest standards are implemented and tested, including those required for certifications required by government entities and clients.
- Emerging Technologies: Stay up to date on trends and recommend investments in technologies that either expand or innovate the use of strategic technologies.
- Collaboration Tools: Continuously improve an organization’s ability to increase productivity, streamline workflows, and minimize miscommunication.
- Data Science: Collect, store, manage, and analyze data while delivering insights and identifying opportunities to drive business growth.
- Change: Instigate, manage, and deliver large complex digital transformations across the company. Deliver value by transforming business processes, employee and customer experience, and/or business operations.
- Ownership: Have deep business acumen and stakeholder relationships to preemptively identify business challenges and create innovative solutions.
TECHNICAL SKILLS
- Strong project management skills in guiding technology acquisition and deployment initiatives.
- Skill in developing and implementing technology plans, and evaluating and problem-solving full-service information technology, networks, and telecommunication systems.
- Excellent ability to conceptualize long-term business goals and develop orderly processes to accomplish those goals.
- Broad knowledge of information technology processing systems, concepts, and methodologies.
- Proficient in latest technology for IT systems and management.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
- Proficient, or able to gain proficiency with, a broad array of security software applications and tools.
EMPLOYMENT REQUIREMENTS
- Verifiable work references demonstrating exceptional accomplishments, leadership, and communication skills.
- Successful completion of post-offer background & drug screens.
- All positions at GH Phipps are considered safety sensitive. Position may be required to visit a construction site at any time.
- In person, regular attendance required.
SALARY AND BENEFITS
The salary range for this position is $185,000 – 205,000 annually and is dependent in experience and title/rank of position offered.

Additional Compensation
Our compensation package includes a competitive salary, participation in our employee stock ownership program (ESOP) on your first day of hire, and eligibility in our annual bonus program. Annual ESOP contributions and bonuses are dependent on company performance and are not guaranteed from year to year. Additional compensation components may include:

Both ESOP and bonuses are calculated on one’s eligible compensation for the year.
Holidays and Paid-Time Off
GH Phipps offers a generous PTO package based on years of experience. PTO may be used for vacation, sick time, or other personal matters. Additionally, employees get seven paid holidays (designated) and one paid floating holiday.
