Job Description

As a Estimator / Project Manager, you will be responsible for analyzing project specifications, reviewing-comprehending-assessing blueprints, conducting material and labor cost assessments, performing site visits to assess job requirements & progress, and preparing accurate and competitive bids for mechanical/HVAC/pipe-fitting projects.

Qualifications:

• 5 or more years related work experience

• Ability to travel to job sites for site walks for proposed work or to manage existing progress

• Ability to generate detailed proposals

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite; competency in construction estimating/design

software

Responsibilities:

• Analyze drawings and other data to prepare time, cost, materials, and labor estimates

• Consult with Owners and Subcontractors on changes and adjustments to cost estimates

• Review & prepare proposals to find the most cost-efficient way to complete projects for

bidding

• Communicate with vendors/subcontractors/construction superintendents/Owners

and engineers to discuss and formulate estimates

• Attend bid clarification meetings and site walks as needed

• Knowledge of industry best practices and Code/Standard requirements

• Strong problem solving and decision-making skills

• Strong verbal and written communication skills & follow through on action items

• Ability to work independently, while recognizing when help is needed

• Strong attention to detail and communicate assumptions when detail is lacking

• Strong time management skills to meet deadlines
