Job Details:
\n
• 12-hour shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM
\n• 4 weekend shifts required per 8 weeks
\n• Holidays worked into permanent holiday rotation based on unit coverage
\n• 1:4 patient ratio
\n• Float to telemetry units and telemetry overflow in ICU
\n• 2-day floor-specific orientation
\n• Level 1 Trauma experience required
\n• Minimum 2 years of nursing experience required
\n• Neuro experience highly preferred
\n• Must be able to titrate drips including Amiodarone, Cardizem, and Insulin drips
\n• Must be able to interpret EKGs with central monitoring
\n• Must pass dysrhythmia exam prior to acceptance - 2 attempts allowed
\n• Must pass Day 1 SIMs Lab evaluation covering Foley catheter insertion and port-a-cath insertion - pass/fail
\n• 32-bed Neuro Telemetry unit
\n• Charting system: Cerner with WOWs
\n• Charge nurse responsibilities available with light patient assignment
\n• Common diagnoses include CVA, TBI, spinal surgery, encephalopathy, ESRD, psychiatric issues, brain tumors, and trached patients
\n• Average length of stay 4-5 days on a fast-paced, high-turnover unit with bedside reporting
\n• Must have natural hair color and no facial piercings
\n• Men must be clean shaven for fit test
\n• Scrub color: Steel gray
\n• Travel team members must have their own vehicles
\n• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS (AHA)

The facility features a robust support system including 24/7 respiratory therapy, 24/7 central pharmacy services, and a SWAT RN team available for difficult IV access. The organization maintains high clinical standards through rigorous competency evaluations and simulation lab training to ensure patient safety and quality care delivery.
