As a Security Officer - Part-Time Badge Desk in Madison, NJ, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries. Join a leading team where flexibility meets opportunity. As a Front Desk Officer with Allied Universal, you will be the welcoming first point of contact while supporting security-related operations at a professional office location. You will help manage access control, monitor alarms and/or cameras, assist visitors and employees with clear communication, and document activity using a computer or tablet. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to clients and visitors by following Allied Universal security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Operate the front desk by greeting and directing visitors, answering phones and/or intercoms, and supporting lobby traffic flow.
  • Help to control access by verifying identification, processing visitor sign-in and sign-out, issuing temporary badges, and documenting contractor and delivery activity per site policy.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, communicating updates to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership as needed.
  • Complete required documentation such as visitor logs, incident reports, and shift activity reports, and relay pertinent information during post handoff.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
  • Be comfortable using a computer and/or tablet is preferred.
  • Alarm panel experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
