Job Title: Real Estate Paralegal
Location: Northern New Jersey
Overview:
Our client is seeking an experienced Real Estate Paralegal to support attorneys in managing complex property transactions. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in commercial real estate, with industrial real estate experience considered a plus. This position requires a detail-oriented professional who excels in a collaborative, fast-paced legal environment.
Key Responsibilities:

Review title commitments, surveys, zoning reports, and other third-party documents

Assist with drafting, organizing, and managing transactional documents and closing checklists

Support entity formation and preparation of certificates, resolutions, and consents (as necessary)

Coordinate with title companies, surveyors, clients, lenders, and opposing counsel throughout transactions

Prepare signature packages, assemble closing binders, and manage post-closing documentation

Oversee escrow-style closings and assist with closing statements

Perform due diligence and manage third-party reports for commercial (and industrial, if applicable) real estate deals

Provide administrative support including document tracking and client correspondence

Maintain accurate time records when required

Occasionally travel locally to attend client meetings or closings
Qualifications:
-
5+ years of paralegal experience with exposure to commercial real estate transactions

Strong knowledge of the transaction lifecycle including title and survey reviews, entity formation, and closing processes

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)

Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal

Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively
Preferred Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree and/or Paralegal Certificate from an ABA-approved program

Experience with industrial real estate transactions

Familiarity with entity formation and preparation of certificates, resolutions, and consents

Experience using document management tools such as Kofax
-
Notary Public certification or willingness to obtain

Experience filing IRS SS-4 forms for EINs

Willingness to work occasional overtime or weekends
Compensation & Benefits:
The salary range is $60,000 to $80,000 annually, depending on experience and qualifications. Exceptional candidates may be eligible for higher compensation based on client discretion. Additional performance-based bonuses may also be offered.
