Overview
Contingent worker assignment supporting production operations at ConocoPhillips Alpine or Kuparuk facilities and drill sites. Role is based in remote, self-contained camp environments and involves hands-on operation, monitoring, and support of production systems.Tasks & Responsibilities
- Participate in safety programs, toolbox talks, and emergency response drills/events
- Ensure safe operation of production processes, pipelines, utilities, and safety systems
- Exercise Stop-Work Authority when unsafe conditions arise or deviate from approved protocols
- Perform routine operator rounds and surveillance to monitor equipment and identify issues
- Respond to process upsets and abnormal conditions
- Execute facility start-ups and shutdowns (planned and unplanned)
- Follow all SOPs, regulatory, safety, and environmental standards
- Maintain operating integrity through:
- Safe Operating Limits
- Management of Change (MOC)
- Control of Work processes
- Complete all required training and competency requirements
- Perform energy isolation (LOTO) and equipment preparation for maintenance
- Support production targets through monitoring, troubleshooting, and optimization
Basic / Required
- Current/valid driver’s license
- At least 1+ year experience as a Field Production Operator in:
- Wells and remote gathering systems and/or
- Processing facilities
Preferred Qualifications
- 3+ years oilfield or petrochemical operations experience
- Associate degree (or higher) in Process Technology or related technical discipline
- Intermediate knowledge of:
- Production Operations
- Process Safety Management (PSM)
