Position Summary: Room Attendant is responsible for the general cleaning and upkeep of guest rooms and other assigned areas. Ensuring a comfortable and welcoming environment. This includes tasks like cleaning, restocking supplies, and providing excellent customer service. They also play a role in ensuring guest safety and security within the rooms.

Duties and responsibilities:

• Cleaning guest rooms involves vacuuming, mopping, dusting, cleaning bathrooms, and cleaning furniture
• Making beds and changing linens. Ensuring fresh linens are used and beds are made neatly.
• Restocking amenities in the rooms such as shampoo, lotion, coffee, etc.
• Keeping hallways, corridors, and other common areas tidy
• Identifying and reporting any damage or needed repairs to the appropriate department.
• Providing a friendly and welcoming greeting to guests.
• Ensuring carts are well-stocked with cleaning supplies and linens.
• Adhering to established procedures for cleaning and sanitization.
• Perform any other job-related duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• Ability to extend arms over head to perform cleaning tasks, and work in confined spaces.
• Be able to stand for long periods of time.
• Be able to work weekends.
• Ability to use industrial cleaning equipment and products.
• Ability to push and/or pull equipment weighing up to 30 pounds.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
