  • Tax Compliance & Advisory:
  • Provide well-researched and accurate tax opinions to support decision-making.
  • Develop and implement effective tax-saving strategies for the company.
  • Ensure accurate preparation and timely filing of tax returns, including income tax, withholding tax, and sales tax, with the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR).
  • Handle all tax filings and compliance requirements with the Punjab Revenue Authority (PRA).
  • Manage tax audits, assessments, and inquiries, ensuring compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
  • Corporate Compliance:
  • Ensure the company adheres to all corporate governance and compliance requirements of FBR, Securities and Exchange Commission of Pakistan (SECP), and other relevant regulatory bodies.
  • Draft, review, and submit replies to notices from tax authorities and SECP independently.
  • Handle all corporate filings with SECP, including annual returns, statutory forms, and changes to the company structure.

Requirements

Qualifications & Experience

  • ACA (Newly Qualified) from a Big 4 firm OR CA Finalist (ICAP) with 2 years post-articleship experience in a similar role.
  • Maximum of 3–4 papers remaining for CA Final.
  • Strong preference for candidates with practical experience in tax and corporate compliance.
  • Mandatory: Background strictly from ICAP's Chartered Accountancy (CA) qualification. No other qualifications will be considered.

Corporate Restructuring

  • Assist the company with corporate restructuring initiatives, ensuring all necessary legal and regulatory filings are completed accurately and on time.
  • Provide strategic input on restructuring plans, mergers, or acquisitions from a compliance and tax perspective.

Documentation & Reporting

  • Maintain up-to-date records of all tax and corporate compliance filings.
  • Prepare periodic reports for the CFO on tax planning, compliance status, and pending matters.

Leadership & Collaboration

  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, including legal advisors and auditors, to address compliance-related matters.
  • Stay updated on changes in tax and corporate laws and ensure their application to the company.

Key Skills

  • In-depth knowledge of Pakistan's tax laws, including FBR and PRA regulations.
  • Expertise in SECP compliance and corporate governance requirements.
  • Strong analytical, drafting, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently on complex tax and corporate matters.
