Job Title: Legal Assistant / Paralegal – Property Law Litigation
Location: Tallahassee, Florida
Employment Type: Full-time
Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Legal Assistant / Paralegal with experience in property law litigation to support attorneys in managing cases and court filings. The ideal candidate is familiar with court e-filing systems, civil procedure related to real property matters and can confidently prepare legal documents under attorney direction.
Key Responsibilities
- File court documents using e-filing portals and clerk systems
- Review and retrieve case information, dockets, and filings from court systems
- Assist with litigation matters involving property law, including:

- Quiet title actions
- Foreclosure proceedings
- Evictions
- Manage and track cases and litigation deadlines for attorneys
- Draft and prepare legal documents at attorney direction using Microsoft Word and Adobe
- Prepare, send, and manage documents via DocuSign
- Field and intake incoming calls related to deeds and property matters
- Maintain organized electronic and physical case files
- Communicate professionally with courts, clients, and third parties as needed
Qualifications
- Familiarity and/or experience with court e-filing portals and clerk systems
- Working knowledge of civil procedure as it relates to property law litigation
- Experience managing litigation cases for attorneys preferred
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Adobe (PDF preparation, editing, and assembly)
- Experience using DocuSign preferred
- Notary Public status is a plus
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to follow direction and work independently
- Professional phone etiquette and client intake experience
Preferred Experience
- Prior experience in a law firm or legal environment
- Background in real estate or property law matters
- Experience handling deed-related inquiries
