ACS is seeking a proactive Project Manager to oversee a team supporting travel voucher processing services for the Air Force Financial Services Center (AFFSC) at Ellsworth Air Force Base. This role is ideal for a dynamic leader who thrives in high-volume, compliance-driven environments and is motivated by operational excellence and mission impact.
The Project Manager will be responsible for supervising contractor personnel, ensuring workforce readiness and compliance with performance metrics, facilitating communication with AFFSC leadership, and managing security and administrative actions for all assigned staff.Key Responsibilities:
- Serve as the primary point of contact between ACS and AFFSC leadership. Reports to ACS CEO.
- Lead, manage, and support a team of Financial Services Technicians (FSTs) responsible for processing travel vouchers and financial transactions.
- Ensure contractor personnel complete mandatory training and achieve required productivity and accuracy metrics.
- Oversee timekeeping, attendance, and submission of properly validated payroll records.
- Administer company workplace policies, discipline, and conflict resolution measures.
- Monitor and coordinate security clearance submissions and renewals with the AFFSC Security Manager.
- Participate in monthly and quarterly multifunctional team meetings to assess performance and implement improvements.
- Address performance issues, initiate coaching, and manage replacements as needed.
- Promote a professional, inclusive, and harassment-free work environment.
Required Qualifications:
- Minimum 3 years of experience in project management or team leadership.
- Completion of a managerial or supervisory training program, such as PMP®, CAPM®, Air Force Supervisor Development Course, DAU Supervisory Development, or other verifiable coursework related to leadership, personnel management, or team supervision.
- Prior experience working with or for the U.S. Air Force or as a contractor supporting Air Force programs preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to manage teams of 10 or more FTEs, with a focus on meeting production and quality targets.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Ability to obtain Interim Secret security clearance (Tier III Investigation) prior to contract start date.
- Experience working in fast-paced, metrics-driven environments with evolving regulatory guidance.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
Security Requirements:
- Ability to obtain and maintain Interim Secret eligibility prior to start (SF86 submitted via e-QIP).
- Must comply with all base access, security, and information assurance protocols as required by AFFSC.
- Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis.
Work Conditions & Schedule:
- Full-time, on-site at Ellsworth Air Force Base, South Dakota.
- Work hours between 0800–1700, Monday through Friday.
- Occasional surge support may require extended hours.
- Participation in monthly/quarterly feedback and operational meetings is mandatory.
Compensation and Benefits:
Salary: $80,000 – $100,000
