Position Overview
We are a respected mid-size, full service firm in New Jersey, seeking a skilled attorney with expertise in real estate law, land use/zoning, and redevelopment. We are looking for individuals with 8+ years of experience who can provide legal guidance on a variety of real estate transactions, zoning regulations, and land use issues. Assisting our clients in navigating the complexities of property development and municipal regulations. Key Responsibilities
- Provide legal counsel on real estate transactions including acquisitions, sales, and leases.
- Assist clients with land use and zoning issues, ensuring compliance with local regulations.
- Represent clients in litigation related to real estate, land use, and redevelopment disputes.
- Negotiate and draft financial agreements related to real estate developments.
- Advise clients on redevelopment projects and municipal law compliance.
- Conduct legal research and prepare legal documents, including contracts and briefs.
- Collaborate with municipalities and other stakeholders to facilitate development projects.
Qualifications
- Juris Doctor (JD)
- Active license to practice law in the state of New Jersey
- 8+ years of experience in real estate law, land use, and redevelopment.
- Strong understanding of zoning laws and municipal regulations.
- Experience in litigation and transactional matters related to real estate.
- Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Public entity representation experience is a big plus!
