Join our team to directly reduce shop bottlenecks by delivering fast, accurate automotive paint matches that keep customer work moving and build trust with car owners and body shops.

Responsibilities

• Produce accurate custom paint mixes and adjustments for automotive repairs, minimizing trial-and-error rework

• Capture color photos, prepare panels for camera matching, and use matching software to select candidate formulas

• Spray test samples, evaluate results, and iterate tints until an acceptable match is achieved

• Communicate progress clearly with the manager and shop team to keep workflow coordinated and prevent backups

• Collaborate with the manager for approvals and escalate difficult matches when needed

• Support the team with pulling orders, restocking shelves, and other shop tasks when paint matching workload allows

• Maintain clean, organized work areas and follow safety and environmental procedures

• Keep accurate records of formulas, mixes, and job outcomes for consistency and future reference

Requirements

• Demonstrated hands-on experience with automotive paint matching and custom mixing (interview will probe real-work scenarios)

• Proven ability to match common automotive colors quickly and reliably, minimizing trial-and-error cycles

• Working knowledge of color theory, tinting, and how to troubleshoot formula issues

• Comfortable using camera-based matching tools and transferring images/data to a computer for comparison

• Strong, clear communication under pressure and willingness to ask for help when uncertain

• Willingness and ability to work full-time on-site in Summit, Illinois (Monday–Friday 8:00 AM–5:00 PM; Saturday 8:00 AM–12:00 PM)

• Clean driving record (role requires occasional trips to customer shops in a company vehicle)

• Eligible to work in the U.S.

Nice to Have

• Prior experience with specific color-matching software or hardware used in automotive shops

• History of coaching or sharing techniques with teammates to raise overall shop capability

• Demonstrated patience and a teachable attitude when mistakes occur
