JOB SUMMARY:
It is the responsibility of the Senior Slot Attendant to assist with all slot operations on the casino floor during the assigned shift with the Slot Shift Manager. Senior Slot Attendants provides outstanding guest service by ensuring a timely response to customers’ needs including paying jackpots, minor machine repairs and filling empty ticket printers. All functions will be performed within the guidelines of the Saracen Casino Resort policies and procedures, Internal Control Standards and objectives of the Saracen Slot Department.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Responsible for observing and analyzing the integrity of play and tracking guests and employee activity. Assume responsibility and accountability for the overall function and performance of assigned shift.
- Assists with training all new employees in the assigned shift to ensure that these employees receive the proper knowledge to perform their duties at an acceptable level.
- Adhere to all departmental and company procedures including all policies and procedures regarding the security of monies, parts, equipment and required documentation.
- Knowledgeable of the various types of slot machines and is able to identify major malfunctions and correct minor machine malfunctions.
- Identifies jackpots to be paid and processes and completes them promptly, accurately and with a high degree of service.
- Aware of the various types of slots cheating methods and is able to recognize any potential attempts while monitoring assigned section.
- Ensure that slot playing guests are kept in play by providing friendly and helpful service at all interactions.
- Promotes all activities and locations within Saracen properties.
- Presents oneself with open body language to guests on casino floor while patrolling, politely speak with and assist guests as needed.
- Assists in maintaining a spotless casino by disposing of any cups, glasses or bottles left on the floor by guests.
- Understands and complies with company and departmental directives.
- Adheres to regulatory, departmental, and company policies in an ethical manner.
- Notifies Slot Shift Manager of staffing levels in order to provide adequate floor coverage and a high level of customer and machine service with minimum labor hours.
- Ensures that all functions of the shift are carried out in a timely and efficient manner. Track assigned tasks to ensure their proper completion.
- Complete toke/tip turn in at end of each shift.
- Must be familiar with all slot operations and accurately complete all necessary shift paperwork in order to ensure accuracy and thoroughness of all departmental records and reports.
- Must be able to perform the duties of a Slot Attendant as outlined in the Slot Attendant job description.
- Maintain a working knowledge of all Saracen Casino Resort’s Gaming Operation facilities including, but not limited to, special promotions and events in order to provide pertinent information to employees as well as guests.
- Communicate regularly with employees and keep them informed of all casino activities and events, and locations.
- Bring to Shift Manager’s attention guest disputes that cannot be readily resolved by Attendants and Techs.
- Provides exceptional guest service to all patrons and communicates in a pleasant, friendly, and professional manner at all times. Maintain a professional work environment with supervisors and staff.
- Meets the attendance guidelines of the job and adheres to regulatory, departmental and company policies.
- Attend all necessary training meetings and classes.
- Assist in other projects as directed.
- Duties, responsibilities, requirements and expectations pertaining to this job are subject to change as needed. Hours are determined by 24-hour schedule.
- At all times acts as a role model and always presents oneself as a credit to Saracen Casino Resort.
QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each of the essential duties and responsibilities satisfactorily.
- Must be a minimum of 21 years of age or older upon employment.
- High School Diploma or its equivalent required.
- Must have basic computer skills.
- Minimum of 2 years of slot operations experience.
- Game performance experience is desirable.
- Knowledge of casino rules, regulations and procedures.
- Must possess excellent communication skills.
- Ability to write routine correspondence and to speak effectively to the public, employees and customers.
- Must have the ability to deal effectively and interact well with the customers and employees.
- Must have the ability to resolve problems/conflicts in a diplomatic and tactful manner.
- Must be able to be approved for and maintain a valid gaming license.
- Must be able to read, write, speak and understand English. Must be able to respond to visual and oral cues.
- Work nights, weekends and holidays as required.
- Employment is contingent upon a favorable outcome of a background investigation and drug screening.

- Must be physically mobile with reasonable accommodations and be able to maneuver to all areas of the casino.
- Must be able to tolerate areas containing secondary smoke, high noise levels, bright lights and dust.
- Maintain physical stamina and proper mental attitude to work under pressure in a fast-paced, casino environment and effectively deal with guests, management, employees, and members of the business community in all situations.
