Job Description

Objective: The Membership Coordinator provides prompt, courteous service to members, staff and volunteers as well as all who enter our front office. The objective is to retain our current member base and continue to strengthen the Association growth by branding SCCAOR’s services, benefits and resources.

Supervisor: Membership Services Manager

FLSA Status: Non-Exempt

Duties:

  • Provide member services and maintain good member relations by answering telephone inquiries, emails, chats and/or assisting members in person on an individual basis.
  • Process SCCAOR new member applications and present the members with the services and benefits from the local, state and national level along with other local related services.
  • Assist new members with setting up the Supra ekey on their phones and provide instruction on the use of the Supra ekey and lockboxes.
  • Keep all records in database current i.e.: licensing requirements and updates, NRDS updates, etc. and contacting the member or broker when necessary to obtain updates.
  • Promote SCCAOR upcoming events and classes.
  • Receive and process the annual dues renewal payments.
  • Process SCCAOR member status changes regarding reinstatements, inactive, drops, address changes, office changes, and inter-board changes for brokers and REALTORS®.
  • Promote and convey the value of Association membership to non-member brokers and agents in order to increase SCCAOR membership.
  • Perform general data entry in the Membership database and SUPRA key portal.
  • Perform general office duties such as: filing, data entry and copying.
  • Assist in the SCCAOR store with: customer service, promoting sale items, processing store transactions, ordering, stocking and receiving merchandise from a variety of vendors for resale.
  • Communicate with local related services, state association and national association for clarification on policies and procedures.

General Qualifications:

  • Possess excellent customer service skills.
  • Ability to respond to client needs and concerns with compassion, empathy, and professionalism.
  • Able to manage multiple tasks at once with varying deadlines.
  • Should have a working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Google Suite, and Membership database applications.
  • Hight School Diploma or Equivalence Certificate.
  • Minimum of two years’ experience in a customer service-oriented position.
  • Bilingual skills are a plus.

Work Locations and Hours: (Week splits to two locations)

  • San Jose - Monday through Tuesday 8:30 am-5:00 pm
  • Gilroy - Wednesday through Friday 8:30 am-5:00 pm
