Location: Will work out of the Florida City office location and support various Everglades Housing Group locations throughout Florida.
FLSA Status: Non-Exempt

Position Summary:
Everglades Housing Group is seeking a motivated and tech-savvy IT Specialist to support the organization's technology infrastructure across its affordable housing communities throughout Florida. This position provides hands-on experience in hardware setup, software administration, user support, and file management. The ideal candidate is a proactive problem-solver with strong communication skills and an interest in learning and supporting diverse IT systems in a multi-site environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Set up computers, printers, and other peripheral devices for staff across various locations.
- Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, and connectivity issues for end users.
- Assist in the administration and support of Everglades Housing Group’s proprietary software systems.
- Manage employee user access, including account setup, password resets, and permission updates.
- Provide technical support and training for Microsoft 365 tools, including Teams, Outlook, OneDrive, and SharePoint.
- Provide technical support and training for OneSite and RealPage software to users.
- Assist departments in organizing and streamlining digital administrative files and internal systems.
- Respond to help desk requests and provide timely, professional support to staff (resolve internally or refer major issues to outsourced vendor).
- Travel to community sites throughout Florida to perform on-site installations, support, and maintenance.
- Maintain IT inventory records and assist in documenting IT procedures and configurations.
- Stay informed about new technologies and contribute to system improvement initiatives.
Qualifications:
- Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or a related field.
- Working knowledge of computer hardware, Windows operating systems, and basic networking.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook and Teams.
- Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage tasks independently and travel between sites as needed.
- Valid Florida driver’s license and access to reliable transportation.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Prior experience or education in an IT support or help desk role.
- Familiarity with SharePoint, Active Directory, and cloud-based file systems.
- Bilingual in English and Spanish is a plus.
Work Environment & Physical Requirements:
Office and field-based work with travel to various housing locations.
Ability to lift and carry equipment up to 40 lbs.
Occasional work in confined spaces (e.g., under desks or behind equipment).
