Job DescriptionHours: 6:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday to ThursdayOvertime: Mandatory overtime on Friday when scheduledLocation: Solon, Ohio
Pay: $16 per hourOverview: We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Machine Operator to join our production team. This role is ideal for candidates with prior manufacturing experience who are looking to build a career in electronics and learn Surface Mount Technology (SMT). Training will be provided on SMT equipment and processes.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in the setup and operation of SMT (Surface Mount Technology) machines
- Load feeders, components, and materials onto SMT equipment
- Monitor machine performance and notify the team of any issues
- Perform visual inspection of circuit boards for quality and defects
- Follow work instructions, blueprints, and standard operating procedures
- Maintain production efficiency and quality standards
- Keep the work area clean and organized
- Support rework or touch-up processes as needed
Requirements:
- Previous manufacturing, machine operation, production, or assembly experience required
- Strong attention to detail and quality
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks
- Basic computer skills
Preferred (but not required):
- Experience with electronics assembly or SMT processes
- Familiarity with IPC standards or soldering
- Experience reading basic work instructions or prints
