Full-time Arabic-Speaking Nanny/Mother’s Helper in SF
4 children, 1 child with High-Functioning Autism
About the Family:
We are seeking an experienced, inviting and Arabic-speaking full time nanny to assist a bi-lingual (English/Egyptian) family in the San Francisco area/Silicon Valley.
Children range in from 8-17, and one child has high-functioning Autism. We are looking for a Nanny with previous experience and comfortability assisting all of the children. Comfortability with Autism is a must, previous education or professional experience with autism is preferred, but not required.
You will primarily be reporting into and assisting the mother of the family. Nanny would be providing additional support and coverage to accommodate mother's schedule.
Language Requirement:
Fluency in Arabic is a firm requirement for this position. We are particularly interested in candidates who speak one of the following dialects:
- Egyptian
- Palestinian
- Lebanese
- Syrian
- Jordanian
The nanny will be expected to speak exclusively in Arabic with the children throughout the day to actively support their language acquisition and daily conversational fluency.
Key Responsibilities:
Childcare & Education
- Engage children in Arabic conversation on a consistent, daily basis
- Assist with homework and support academic development
- Manage school pickups, drop-offs, and extracurricular activities
- Provide attentive, nurturing care that supports each child’s growth and wellbeing
- Provide occasional overnight care when both parents are traveling
Household Support
- Prepare healthy, child-appropriate meals and handle kitchen cleanup
- Assist with light household tasks including dishes and laundry
- Run occasional errands such as grocery shopping and returns
Schedule
Preferred Hours: Monday through Friday, approximately 2:30–8:30 PM
We are open to offering additional daytime hours for the right candidate, and welcome a conversation about scheduling flexibility.
What We’re Looking For:
- Fluent or near-fluent Arabic in one of the listed dialects
- At least 2 years prior professional experience caring for children in a household setting
- Reliable, punctual, and highly organized with excellent follow-through
- Professionalism, clear communication, respect for boundaries and trustworthiness
- Discretion toward privacy of the family
- Warm, patient, and naturally engaging with children of varying ages
- Able to manage multiple tasks independently while maintaining a calm household
- Valid driver’s license and a clean driving record preferred
- Strong references from previous families or childcare employers
- Please alert us of any special certifications, training and additional education you have completed in child care or light-medical training (CPR, etc.)
- A background check will be required
Interview Process

Pay:
