CONTRACT JOB DESCRIPTION
Responsibilities:
1. Leads the adoption or implementation of an advanced technology or platform.
2. Expert on the functionality or usage of a particular system, platform, or technology product.
3. Serves as a consultant to clients, guiding the efficient use or adoption of a particular IT product or platform.
4. Creates implementation, testing, and/or integration plans.
5. Demonstrates expertise in a particular IT platform or service, allowing for maximum IT investment.
Position will be responsible for the planning, design, and implementation of standards, naming conventions, and ongoing deployment of a multi-data center DB2 environment, including disaster recovery, high availability, and data center relocation projects. Must have extensive experience with the installation, support, and roll-out of DB2 components, BMC Tools and Utilities, and related products. Must have complete familiarity with z/OS, TSO/ISPF and IBM utilities. Experience with SMP/E, Sysplex environments, and DB2 integration with WLM is desired. The position will provide technical support to application and data center staff. Additional desired skills are Oracle, SQL, z/VM, Linux and MVS systems, familiarity with the BMC MainView monitoring tool, is desired.
Must have excellent communication and presentation skills. Position will require project leadership in support ofdata center projects and strategic initiatives.
Minimum Education/ Certification Requirements:
Bachelors degree in Information Technology or related field or equivalent experience
Training or certification in a particular product or IT platform/service, as required
