Akkodis is seeking a Data Scientist for a Contract job with a client in Morristown, NJ(Hybrid). This role involves developing and deploying advanced AI/ML models and communicating data-driven insights to business stakeholders.
Rate Range: $62/hour to $64/hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.
Data Scientist job responsibilities include:

Design, develop, and deploy AI/ML models using Python and modern frameworks to solve complex business problems.

Analyze large, diverse datasets using statistical and machine learning techniques, including supervised, unsupervised, and deep learning.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate business needs into data science solutions and communicate findings clearly.

Develop production-ready code with unit testing and version control, following agile and TDD practices.

Work in cloud environments (e.g., AWS, GCP) and leverage tools like Snowflake, Databricks, and Spark for scalable data processing.

Create data visualizations and dashboards using tools like Tableau, Power BI, or Plotly to support data storytelling and decision-making.
Desired Qualifications:

PhD in Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Physics, or a related quantitative field; or master’s degree in a relevant domain.

Minimum of 2+ years (PhD) or 4+ years (Master’s) of hands-on analytical experience.

Proficiency in Python for AI/ML development, with experience in cloud platforms like AWS or GCP and tools such as Snowflake and Databricks.

Strong communication skills with the ability to translate complex data science concepts into business insights and visualizations using tools like Tableau or Power BI.

Pay Details: $62.00 to $64.00 per hour
