Job Description
Join our team as a Janitor, responsible for maintaining cleanliness and sanitation at a Microsoft facility. This role requires working at one of the West Des Moines locations, ensuring a clean and pleasant environment across office spaces, common areas, and floors. The facility is conveniently located just 14 minutes south of the Aerotek office.
Responsibilities
- Perform all janitorial work required at the Microsoft facility.
- Ensure the cleanliness of offices, cubicles, and the entire building.
- Spray and wash tables.
- Clean and restock restrooms.
- Wipe handles and counters.
- Remove trash and maintain waste disposal areas.
- Wash windows to ensure they are spotless.
- Work independently to clean offices, bathrooms, lobbies, labs, and conference rooms.
Essential Skills
- Experience in janitorial, custodial, or housekeeping roles.
- Ability to work on feet for the entire shift.
- Excellent cleaning and sanitizing skills.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- At least 1 year of experience in cleaning, janitorial, custodial, sanitizing, or housekeeping work.
- Friendly and approachable demeanor, as interaction with individuals is required.

Work Environment
Work in a large campus environment for Microsoft that involves considerable walking. The schedule is 1st Shift, from 6am to 2:30pm, Monday through Friday. Dress code includes work-appropriate jeans and shirt. Necessary safety equipment such as glasses and gloves will be supplied.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of West Des Moines, IA.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $16.50 - $16.50/hr.
