POSITION SUMMARY:

The General Manager is a top-level performer who not only aspires to be the best part of the

customer's day, but also the best part of their team member's day. The general Manager has a

positive attitude, willingness to take initiative, and great communication skills. The General

Manager is also responsible for leading all day-to-day operations of the store. They are a

self-starter who can excel with a minimum of supervision.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

● Ensures the Ziggi's "Standards of Service" are always in place -exceptional customer

service, excellent drink/food quality, accuracy, consistency, and speed of service.

● Maintains great communication on a consistent basis with staff, the Leadership Team,

Store Owners, and other designated contacts within the company.

● Helps interview, onboard, and train new team members.

● Provides ongoing support, development, and coaching for all team members.

● Maintains a safe and secure working environment for employees.

● Places weekly orders with vendors.

● Puts together bank deposits.

● Maintains store to meet operational standards to ensure optimal cleanliness, product

stock, and organization.

● Ensures the store is always within compliance with all health code and food safety

requirements.

  • Writes and maintains employee schedules while adhering to all scheduling requirements

such as weekly labor hour allowances, staffing requirements based on hourly sales,

proper allocation of labor, position assignment, and compliance with all city, county,

state, and federal labor guidelines.

● Responsible for overall inventory management, including ordering, shortages, and

tracking.

● Addresses any customer complaints that may arise in the absence of the General or

Assistant Managers, corrects the issue, and relays any incidents to their General and

Assistant Managers.

● Manages Cost of Goods Sold including direct and indirect costs, variances, and controls.

● Any other duties, as assigned.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

● Good analytical and math skills to create and analyze reports, sales statistics, and

spreadsheets.

● Strong customer service skills.

● Excellent leadership skills and ability to work with teams.

● Great attention to detail for purposes of erecting attractive marketing displays, arranging

merchandise and maintaining store appearance.

● Ability to perform complex duties requiring discretion and independence of action.

● Ability to communicate both verbally and in writing.

● Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees.

● Ability to maintain sensitive and confidential information.

● Ability to perform varied administrative tasks; determine relative importance of each, set

deadlines and complete projects accordingly.

● Ability to apply appropriate decision-making within scope of work procedures.

● Ability to work well under pressure.

● Flexibility in hours worked, including holidays and weekends.

● Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.


Physical Demands

The employee is required to frequently stand, walk, sit, use hands and fingers, reach and lift with

arms, climb, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee is required to frequently lift up to 30

pounds without assistance. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision;

distance vision; peripheral vision; depth perception; and the ability to adjust focus.

Work Environment

The employee typically works indoors in a coffee shop environment.
