Position Summary
Ethic Tech, LLC is seeking a Systems Engineer to support the Administration and Resource Management Division (ARI) within Headquarters, Marine Corps (HQMC). The Systems Engineer will execute the migration of SharePoint sites and content from the existing on-premise SharePoint portal farm to government-approved cloud services.
Essential Functions
- Responsible for the coordination of infrastructure tasks through subordinates and designated Government personnel.
- Responsibilities include technical advice for management tasks for the enterprise, including security, compliance, and support technologies.
- Review project designs and implementations of medium to large SharePoint intranet/extranet farm topologies using Microsoft Best Practices.
- Responsible for the evaluation, planning, migration, deployment, and management of Microsoft 365 services
- Manage and maintain vulnerability remediation for servers in line with cybersecurity requirements and reporting.
- Configure, Troubleshoot, and Maintain Search Functionality
- Coordinate and Collaborate with Network Infrastructure Team
- Design and implement medium to large SharePoint intranet/extranet farm topologies using Microsoft Best Practices
- Assist in solving technical and performance problems within the portal infrastructure
- Plan and implement Service Packs and Cumulative Updates of SharePoint Foundation and SharePoint Server
- Create and maintain documentation for SIPR SharePoint infrastructure, deployment, and service specifications
- Collaborate with the Infrastructure and DBA groups on backup/recovery operations and disaster recovery testing related to SIPR SharePoint implementation monthly.
- Manage service applications, create web applications, configure Alternate Access Mapping (AAM), and manage farm features and solutions.
- Create a SIPR SharePoint Configuration document that takes into account hardware, OS, and software configuration, service accounts, IP addresses, host names, and the service application topology.
Requirements
- High School or equivalent diploma. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Information Systems preferred.
- Three (3) years of Microsoft Enterprise Administrator experience
- Two (2) years of Microsoft Exchange experience.
- Experience with Microsoft SharePoint Server 2013 and 2016
- Experience with Azure administration and development
- Experience with managing service applications, creating web applications, and managing farm features and solutions.
- Experience with managing and maintaining vulnerability remediation for servers in line with cybersecurity requirements and reporting.
- Experience in analyzing and communicating network issues to peers and to management.
- Experience with networking, server administration, Active Directory, and PowerShell.
Desired Qualifications / Certifications
One of the following Industry certifications:
- Microsoft 365 Certified Modern Desktop Administrator Associate
- Microsoft Certified Enterprise Administrator Expert.
Clearance Qualifications
- Must have a DoD Secret Security Clearance
