Senior Software Engineer (Satellite Communications) - Remote
Job Description
Job DescriptionOVERVIEW
Releady is partnering with a leading satellite communications and defense technology company to hire a Senior Software Engineer. Headquartered in Redmond, Washington and backed by over 150 patents, this privately held innovator engineers electronically steered, flat-panel antenna systems that deliver mission-critical connectivity for government, military, maritime, commercial transport, and public safety organizations worldwide. Their technology is actively deployed by the U.S. Army and in global disaster relief operations — this is high-consequence engineering at scale.
In this role, you will design and implement the algorithms that control how the antenna acquires, points at, and tracks satellites — then deliver the production code that runs those algorithms on real hardware. You will own the full development lifecycle, from simulation and prototyping through field deployment and post-delivery validation.
- Employment Type: Full-Time
- Location: Redmond, WA (Remote is an option)
- Compensation: $140,000 – $190,000 base + 10% annual target bonus + stock options
- NOTE: Must be able to work in the United States without sponsorship.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Algorithm Design & Implementation

- Translate complex mathematical models into production-ready embedded code
- Integrate AI/ML technologies from the cloud to the edge device
Software Infrastructure
- Build and maintain interfaces, data pipelines, finite-state machines, diagnostics, and fault handling systems
- Implement embedded solutions in C/C++ on constrained Linux or real-time platforms
Cross-Functional Delivery
- Collaborate across hardware, RF, systems, and cloud teams to ensure system cohesion
- Drive full lifecycle ownership — from simulation through field deployment and post-delivery validation
QUALIFICATIONS
- Fluency in C and C++ with deep experience in embedded or real-time systems
- Demonstrated ability to implement complex mathematical models in production code
