Job Description
GL Staffing is seeking reliable, detail-oriented, and hardworking individuals for a Pharmaceutical Packaging Operator position. Candidates will work in a regulated pharmaceutical manufacturing environment where cleanliness, accuracy, safety, and compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) are essential.
The ideal candidate must be bilingual in English and Spanish, capable of following detailed instructions, and comfortable working in a fast-paced production environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Package, label, inspect, and prepare pharmaceutical products according to company procedures and quality standards.
- Assist with packaging line operations to ensure efficient and accurate production.
- Inspect finished products for defects, damaged packaging, incorrect labels, or other quality concerns.
- Follow Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- Properly wear required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), including gloves, hairnets, gowns, and other protective clothing.
- Maintain clean, sanitized, and organized production areas.
- Follow strict hygiene and contamination prevention procedures.
- Verify labels, lot numbers, expiration dates, and packaging information.
- Complete production documentation accurately as assigned.
- Assist with packaging materials, line preparation, and production workflow.
- Meet production goals while maintaining high quality and safety standards.
- Report product defects, equipment issues, and safety concerns to supervisors.
- Follow company policies and work collaboratively with production team members.
Job Requirements
- Must be bilingual in English and Spanish.
- Must successfully pass a pre-employment background check in accordance with company requirements and applicable law.
- Must be willing to undergo a pre-employment drug screening.
- Previous experience in manufacturing, packaging, production, or food processing preferred.
- Pharmaceutical manufacturing experience is a plus.
- Familiarity with GMP, SOPs, PPE, and sanitation procedures preferred.
- Ability to read, understand, and follow written and verbal instructions.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Ability to stand for extended periods.
- Comfortable performing repetitive production tasks.
- Ability to work in a clean, controlled manufacturing environment.
- Must follow all safety, sanitation, and hygiene requirements.
- Reliable attendance, punctuality, and strong work ethic.
- Must be available to work the full 3rd-shift schedule.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in pharmaceutical, food, cosmetic, or medical device manufacturing.
- Knowledge of quality control and contamination prevention practices.
- Experience with packaging, labeling, inspection, or production lines.
- Familiarity with regulated manufacturing environments.
- Strong teamwork, communication, and organizational skills.
