Garrett Fabrication is hiring dependable Journeyman and Apprentice Sheet Metal Workers for commercial HVAC and sheet metal installation projects across Oklahoma. Key Responsibilities
- Install commercial HVAC ductwork, sheet metal systems, and related components according to blueprints and submittals.
- Hang, align, and join rectangular, round, and spiral ducting using standard industry techniques and tools.
- Install duct accessories, including dampers, diffusers, grilles, registers, and access doors.
- Perform field measurements and minor site modifications to ensure precise fitting.
- Adhere strictly to job site safety standards, OSHA guidelines, and company safety procedures.
- Collaborate effectively with site superintendents, project managers, and trade partners.
Required Qualifications
- Journeyman: 4+ years of hands-on commercial sheet metal/HVAC installation experience; ability to work independently and read mechanical drawings.
- Apprentice: 1+ years of commercial HVAC/sheet metal experience (or trade school equivalent) with a strong desire to learn and advance.
- Valid driver’s license and dependable personal transportation.
- Complete set of basic hand tools relevant to sheet metal installation.
- Physical ability to lift 50+ lbs, climb ladders, work at heights, and operate in varying job site conditions.
