Appliance/HVAC Salesperson - Management Track Available

We are looking for an Appliance/HVAC counter salesperson to join our team! We are a family-owned business with 11 locations near Alabama selling appliance parts, HVAC parts, appliances, and heating and cooling equipment to retail, wholesale, apartment management customers, and more. We are looking for a counter salesperson with the possibility to become a store manager in 1 - 2 years.

You will have a flexible role with some of the following responsibilities,

Responsibilities:

• Maintain positive, patient, and honest customer service relationships with our customers
• Answer phone calls and interact with walk-in customers
• Utilize online tools to find specific parts for appliances and HVAC equipment
• Become familiar with our computer system to perform sales, returns, payments, shipments, inventory, etc.
• Check and receive incoming shipments of special orders and inventory
• Occasionally perform inventory of store shelving and correct quantities in the computer system
• Perform light cleaning tasks
• (Optional*) Deliver appliances and HVAC equipment to wholesale customers with company-provided vehicles and equipment

Must be able to:

• Fully operate and keyboard and mouse
• Interact with inventory on shelving above the head and utilize a ladder
• Lift bulky and/or heavy packages by hand (usually less than 40 pounds)
• Utilize a hand truck/appliance dolly to move appliances and HVAC equipment around the store
• (Optional*) Pull appliances up stairs, step-by-step, when delivering to apartment complexes

Preferred qualifications:

• Good computer skills (intermediate or better skills for management track is preferred)
• Previous experience in sales, customer service, or related field
• Experience as a supervisor or manager
• Determined problem-solver

* Employees who are willing and able to deliver appliances will receive greater pay. Managers are expected to fill this role when required. Sales commission will be part of pay.
