Dietary Assistant
Myerstown Nursing and Rehab – Myerstown, PAFull-Time
Myerstown Nursing and Rehab is seeking a dedicated Dietary Assistant to join our skilled nursing facility in Myerstown, PA. This role supports the dietary department in ensuring residents receive nutritious, high-quality meals in accordance with established policies and procedures.
Position Details
Status: Full-TimeSchedule: Every Other Weekend and Holiday RequiredPay Rate: $12.50 per hour
Key Responsibilities
• Assist with meal service and ensure timely delivery of food trays
• Support the cook with meal preparation as needed
• Maintain cleanliness of worktables, refrigerators, freezers, and kitchen equipment
• Transport food trays to and from dining areas and dishwashing stations
• Follow sanitation, safety, and infection control procedures
• Assist with dishwashing and kitchen cleanup duties
• Ensure dietary areas remain clean, organized, and stocked
Qualifications
• High school diploma or GED preferred
• Must be 18 years of age or older
• Previous dietary, food service, or healthcare experience preferred but not required
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and as part of a team
