Director of Advancement

They are seeking a strategic, entrepreneurial, and mission-driven Director of Advancement to lead fundraising, donor engagement, marketing, and community partnerships. This senior-level role is ideal for a relationship-focused professional who can think strategically while remaining hands-on and execution-oriented.

The Director will work closely with the Executive Director, Board, donors, and community partners to increase philanthropic support, strengthen the organization’s visibility, and build sustainable advancement strategies. Key Responsibilities
\n
Fundraising & Donor Engagement
\n

- Develop and execute fundraising strategies focused on major gifts, individual giving, corporate sponsorships, grants, and events.
- Cultivate and steward relationships with donors, foundations, sponsors, and community partners.
- Build and manage a strong donor pipeline and achieve annual fundraising goals.

Events & Community Partnerships
\n

- Lead fundraising and community engagement events.
- Develop partnerships that increase visibility, support, and community impact.

\n
Grants
\n
- \n
- Identify and pursue public and private funding opportunities.
- Prepare grant proposals, reports, and stewardship materials.
- Track grants, deadlines, sponsorships, and donor activity.
\n

\n
\n
Marketing & Communications
\n
- \n
- Oversee social media, email, website, public relations, and other external communications.
- Develop compelling stories and campaigns that showcase student and community impact.
\n
\n
\n
Leadership & Systems
\n
- \n
- Manage donor information, reporting, and fundraising analytics using Salesforce Nonprofit Cloud or similar CRM systems.
- Provide advancement updates and recommendations to leadership and the Board.
- Partner with the Executive Director to strengthen advancement systems and infrastructure.

Qualifications
\n
- \n
- 5+ years of progressive nonprofit development, advancement, fundraising, or communications experience.
- Demonstrated success with fundraising, major gifts, grants, sponsorships, and/or events.
- Excellent relationship-building, communication, and storytelling skills.
- Experience with CRM/donor management systems; Salesforce preferred.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree preferred.
- Passion for education, workforce development, and community impact.
