Employment Opportunity: Full-Time Legal Assistant / Receptionist
Kocian Law Group, a well-established and growing law firm, is seeking a Full-Time Legal Assistant/Receptionist to join our team of professionals across our expanding offices in Hartford, Manchester, and New Britain, Connecticut.
This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated, detail-oriented individual who is eager to build a long-term career in the legal field and gain hands-on experience supporting Personal Injury and Workers’ Compensation cases.
Position Overview
The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting daily operations by combining front-desk responsibilities with legal administrative support. Duties include:
- Utilizing a computerized case management system
- Greeting clients and managing front desk operations
- Answering multi-line telephone systems
- Processing and data entry of incoming/outgoing mail
- Ordering office supplies
- Assisting with general legal support tasks as needed
Training will be provided to help you develop the skills necessary to grow into a well-rounded legal professional, with exposure to both receptionist and paralegal responsibilities.
Training & Work Location
- Initial onboarding and training will take place in our New Britain office
- Ongoing work will be shared among our Hartford, Manchester, and New Britain locations, based on firm needs

Qualifications
The ideal candidate will demonstrate professionalism, reliability, and a genuine interest in the legal field.
Requirements:
- Minimum 1 year of receptionist experience (required)
- Excellent attendance and punctuality
- Typing speed of at least 40 WPM
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Ability to quickly learn new systems, procedures, and protocols
Preferred:
- Bilingual (Spanish) skills
- Minimum 1 year of law firm experience or paralegal certificate
Schedule
- Monday to Friday 8:30am to 5:00pm (Full-time, in-person position)
Location Requirement
- Must be able to commute to New Britain, Manchester and Hartford CT
