We are seeking an experienced and motivated Maintenance Superintendent to oversee daily maintenance operations at our 120-unit residential community in Barre, Vermont, while providing occasional support to a sister property in Hanover, New Hampshire.
In this hands-on leadership role, you’ll work closely with the Senior Property Manager and supervise a dedicated team of maintenance professionals to ensure our communities stay safe, functional, and welcoming for all residents.
What You'll Do

Oversee and actively participate in daily work orders, unit turnovers, and preventative maintenance

Train, guide, and support maintenance technicians to ensure quality work and professional growth

Coordinate emergency on-call scheduling and response

Keep the Senior Property Manager informed on all maintenance-related needs, progress, and priorities

Plan and execute long- and short-term maintenance strategies

Prepare buildings for inspections and ensure compliance with standards

Communicate with contractors and vendors to coordinate repairs and services

Maintain accurate records and reports for all maintenance activity
Your Schedule

Monday–Friday, 8:30 AM – 4:30 PM

Participation in the on-call rotation is required

Occasional flexibility in hours may be necessary based on property needs
What We're Looking For

Proven leadership experience in supervising maintenance teams

Hands-on expertise in general apartment repairs including carpentry, plumbing, electrical, and HVAC

Strong organizational and communication skills

Customer-focused mindset with a passion for maintaining high-quality living spaces

Comfortable using technology, including smartphones and maintenance management software (Yardi preferred)

Must have a valid driver’s license and access to a reliable vehicle

Pay Details: $30.00 to $35.00 per hour
