Job DescriptionAbout Our Client:

They are seeking a Data Analytics Engineer in Washington, DC to join their team!


Key Responsibilities:

  • Write and optimize SQL queries to support data extraction, transformation, and reporting needs.

  • Develop scripts and analytical solutions using programming languages such as Python or R.

  • Design, implement, and maintain ETL/ELT processes and scalable data pipelines.

  • Leverage cloud-based analytics platforms (AWS Redshift, Google BigQuery, Azure Synapse) to deliver enterprise data solutions.

  • Build and maintain dashboards and reports using visualization tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or Looker.

  • Apply statistical analysis and foundational machine learning techniques to generate insights.

  • Optimize data workflows to improve system performance and reduce costs.

  • Collaborate with business and technical stakeholders to define requirements, communicate results, and support decision-making.



Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Information Technology, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related field.
  • 5-7 years of professional experience in data analytics, data engineering, or related roles.
  • Experience in designing, developing, and maintaining analytics pipelines and solutions on scale.

Certification Expectations

    • Certified Analytics Professional (CAP)
    • Google Professional Data Engineer Certificate
    • Databricks Certified Data Engineer Associate
    • Microsoft Certified: Azure Data Engineer Associate Cloud platform certifications (AWS, Azure) with focus on data analytics solutions.

· Paid time off will initially be accrued at a rate of 6.33 hours per semi-monthly pay period, for a total of 19 days/152 hours annually for the first two years.
