This position will coordinate facilities projects consisting of maintenance, repairs, new builds, adds and changes. Working directly with both the Operations and the Facilities Manager to ensure that licenses, permits, certificates of insurance, and final approvals are fulfilled. Interface with internal department managers and external vendors to ensure timely communication and project updates.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Oversees timely completion of the facilities maintenance and repairs. Manages updates through the System portal for the main facility. Coordinates vendor appointments and visits with internal partners for building access and parking instructions. Provides timely updates and status on open requests and ongoing repairs.
Collaborates with team members to conduct various Audits, and Inspections on a monthly. Works closely with the Safety Manager to inspect all fire extinguishers, monthly. Also assists the Safety Manager with identifying and resolving hazards or safety issues. Ensures all regulations and standards within the Warehouse are compliant and audit ready. Including posting updated safety guidelines and proper evacuation maps. Provides support and management of employee and visitor badges and access cards. Audits and updates various visitor, vendor and delivery logs. Updates standard operating procedures (SOP's) as well as ensuring compliance for all permits, licenses, W-9s, and certificates of insurance. Responsible for maintaining log books, checklists, and documentation for operations.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Associates or bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university preferred; minimum of two years of food or consumer goods distribution preferred; or combination of education and experience.
  • Good understanding of food safety, construction permitting, safety and quality process concepts, practices, and procedure.
  • Intermediate to proficient knowledge with MS Office (Excel, Word, PPT) and Google Suite, with some knowledge of ERP/SAP systems
  • Self-starter who is able to work with minimum supervision. Works effectively under pressure to meet established goals and objectives.
  • Naturally a problem-solver with attention to detail and very organized. Participates in operational aspects of the department, and participates in performance improvement activities within the department.
  • Task oriented and proactive with providing recommendations as needed.
  • Ability to work as lead when requested.
  • General knowledge of warehousing, audit requirements, document organization, and safety practices and procedures.
  • Analytical with ability to formulate and prepare reports; maintain focus and ensure data integrity and high-quality work output.
