Job Description:
Our client is seeking a Network Engineer with 3–5 years of experience to join its high-performing IT infrastructure team. This individual will be instrumental in configuring and supporting enterprise-grade Cisco networks in a high-pressure, event-driven environment. If you've worked in live events, investment banking, airport operations, tactical military, or disaster response, and thrive under intense conditions, this is the place for you.
Key Responsibilities
- Configure and deploy Cisco switches and Cisco Access Points (non-Meraki preferred)
- Manage and troubleshoot routing protocols including EIGRP and BGP
- Use Cisco Catalyst Center (formerly DNA Center) for centralized network management
- Support and integrate Cisco Identity Services Engine (Client)
- Conduct WiFi surveys and optimize wireless deployments using Ekahau or similar tools
- Respond to and resolve network incidents during both business hours and live events
- Monitor and maintain network performance, especially during high-traffic scenarios
- Document configurations and create/update network topology diagrams
- Participate in an on-call rotation for event support and after-hours troubleshooting
Required Qualifications
- 3–5 years of hands-on experience as a Network Engineer
- Expert-level experience configuring Cisco switches, Cisco Client, and enterprise WiFi networks
- Strong understanding of EIGRP and BGP routing protocols
- Experience with Cisco Catalyst Center and Cisco Client
- Proficiency using WiFi survey tools, preferably Ekahau
- Track record of success in high-stress environments such as live events, trading floors, airports, or tactical ops
- Ability to troubleshoot quickly and efficiently in real-time scenarios
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Eligible to work in the U.S. without sponsorship
Nice to Have
- Experience with Cisco Wireless LAN Controllers
- Familiarity with Zero Touch Provisioning or advanced Cisco automation tools
- Exposure to monitoring tools and enterprise NMS platforms
