About This Role

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Assistant Teacher to join our educational team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for early childhood education and a strong understanding of childhood development. This role involves supporting lead teachers in creating a nurturing and stimulating environment for children, particularly those with diverse needs, including autism. The Assistant Teacher will play a vital role in fostering positive relationships with children and their families while promoting effective learning strategies.

What You'll Do

• Assist lead teachers in implementing lesson plans and educational activities that promote learning and development.
• Support children in their daily activities, ensuring a safe and engaging environment.
• Educate children on basic concepts such as math, language, and social skills through interactive play.
• Manage classroom behavior by applying effective behavior management techniques.
• Communicate regularly with parents and guardians regarding children's progress and any concerns.
• Work collaboratively with other staff members to create an inclusive atmosphere for all children.
• Participate in ongoing training and professional development opportunities to enhance skills in early childhood education.

Requirements

• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively interact with children, parents, and colleagues.
• Ability to manage classroom dynamics effectively while fostering a positive learning environment.
• A genuine passion for working with young children and supporting their growth and development.

Nice To Haves

• Experience working with children in a daycare or educational setting is preferred.
• Knowledge of childhood development principles and practices.
• Familiarity with behavior management strategies, especially for children with autism.
• A background or coursework in early childhood education is highly desirable.
