Aspire Senior Living East Prairie, a skilled nursing facility located in East Prairie, MO, is seeking a compassionate and skilled Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to join our per diem team. About the Role:

As a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) with our per diem team, you will work closely with our interdisciplinary team to provide speech therapy services to our residents. Your Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) expertise will help to identify and address communication disorders, develop individualized treatment plans, and implement evidence-based interventions to improve our residents' quality of life. Your passion for delivering exceptional care will make a tangible difference in the lives of our seniors.

Responsibilities:

  • Assess, diagnose, and treat communication and swallowing disorders in our resident population

  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans, including speech therapy sessions and caregiver training

  • Collaborate with our interdisciplinary team to identify and address communication needs and develop strategies for improving resident communication

  • Provide education and support to residents, families, and caregivers on communication and swallowing disorders

  • Document treatment plans, progress notes, and billing information accurately and timely

  • Participate in Quality Improvement initiatives and stay current with industry developments and best practices

Requirements:

  • Master's or Doctoral degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an ASHA-accredited program

  • Clinical fellowship completed and ASHA certification (CCC-SLP) in the state of Missouri

  • Experience working with older adults and individuals with cognitive, speech, and swallowing disorders

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work with diverse populations

  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a healthcare team
