Gross McGinley, LLP is a well-established, prestigious Lehigh Valley law firm in center city Allentown and is currently seeking a Professional Certified Paralegal to join our growing Family Law Group. This position is perfect for a Paralegal with at least two years of experience and has an interest in domestic relations. The successful candidate must be certified and have law firm experience. In addition, qualified candidates must possess excellent technology, organizational skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. This is a full-time position. Responsibilities:
- Conduct research to support legal proceedings
- Locate cases, opinion, and dockets
- Assist with the drafting and reviewing of legal documents
- Investigate facts to help in the negotiation of legal disputes
- Monitor and ensure compliance with state and federal regulations
- Record and store client information
- Knowledge and application of electronic filing of documents with court systems.
- Ability to produce and request discovery.
- Ability to maintain timelines, document indexes and lists, trial notebooks, exhibits, discovery and pleading binders.
- Communicates professionally with clients in all interactions
- Works according to assigned work schedule. Punctual and reliable.
- Has a valuable working attitude that strengthens working relationships.
- Ability and initiative in recognizing and solving problems.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience as a paralegal or other legal field
- Familiarity with legal research
- Ability to prioritize and multitask
- Self-Driven
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Deadline and detail-oriented
