The Senior Database Administrator (Sr. DBA) is responsible for maintaining the performance, availability, and security of SQL Server databases across both production and development environments. This role involves proactive monitoring, troubleshooting, and supporting SQL developers, while also managing database changes, upgrades, and disaster recovery plans.
The Sr. DBA will oversee multiple databases, ensuring minimal downtime and secure access for IT customers. They will provide trend analysis to support resource planning, enforce development standards, and stay current with emerging technologies to address business challenges. The role also includes supporting cloud-based SQL solutions and contributing to the overall health and scalability of the database infrastructure.

- Strong initiative and independence in managing database projects
- Expertise in on-prem and Azure-hosted MS SQL database security
- Proficient in Transactional SQL, stored procedures, and performance tuning
- Experience with all current versions of Microsoft SQL Server
- Solid understanding of cloud-based SQL solutions (MS Azure)
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3–5 years of experience in SQL application development and database management
- Microsoft SQL Server certification preferred
- Strong analytical, documentation, and communication skills
- Ability to work in a hybrid schedule, reporting to the Bridgeton, MO office at least two days per week (Tuesday & Wednesday)
