Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Labor & Employment Of Counsel to provide expert legal guidance on a wide range of employment-related issues. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in labor law, litigation, and compliance, and will be responsible for advising employers on best practices and legal obligations in the workplace.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide legal counsel on labor and employment matters including compliance with federal and state laws.
- Represent clients in litigation involving employment disputes such as wrongful termination, harassment, and retaliation.
- Advise employers on employee relations, workplace policies, and best practices.
- Conduct training sessions for clients on employment law topics and compliance.
- Draft and review employment agreements, policies, and procedures to ensure legal compliance.
- Assist in investigations of workplace complaints and provide recommendations for resolution.
- Stay up-to-date on changes in employment law and regulations affecting employers.
Qualifications
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
- Active state bar membership and eligibility to practice law.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in labor and employment law, with a focus on employer side.
- Strong understanding of employment law topics including wage and hour laws, trade secrets, and compliance.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
