Job Description
As a Security Officer - Unarmed Patrol Rounds in Washington, DC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Transportation, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a busy transportation parking location, you will monitor and patrol garages and surrounding areas, stay highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents, and document observations. You will assist guests with directions and parking questions, communicate clearly with site teams, and respond to situations with professionalism, integrity, and a people-first approach in a fast-moving environment.

What You'll Do:
- Provide customer service to clients and guests by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a transportation parking facility.
- Respond to alarms, incidents, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including supporting crowd and vehicle flow during peak arrival and departure periods.
- Conduct regular and random foot patrols throughout parking levels, stairwells, elevators, entry and exit lanes, pay stations, and perimeter areas; working environments and conditions may vary by location.
- Monitor access points and parking areas for unusual activity, unattended items, and/or suspicious behavior to help to deter prohibited activity, and promptly communicate concerns to site leadership and/or emergency services.
- Document patrols, incidents, and customer service interactions in written reports and/or electronic logs, and assist with lost and found, directions, and escort requests as needed.
Minimum Requirements:
- A guard card and/or license is preferred.
- CPR and/or First Aid certification is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
