Senior Machine Learning Engineer – San Francisco, CA
What if you could apply algorithmic trading principles to a $600B+ market? We’re working with a company replacing traditional ad agencies with AI systems that autonomously allocate and optimize ad spend bringing the rigor of quant trading to digital advertising. They’re now hiring a Senior Machine Learning Engineer to build and scale these systems.
What You’ll Work On:
- Design and build value prediction models to forecast customer LTV
- Develop risk-aware optimization systems to allocate budgets across channels
- Build execution systems that interact with Meta, Google, and TikTok APIs in real time
- Own the full ML lifecycle from experimentation to production deployment
- Create simulation and backtesting infrastructure before deploying capital
- Build observability systems to monitor performance and detect drift in changing market conditions
What They’re Looking For:
- 4+ years building and deploying production ML / optimization systems
- Strong intuition for when to use deep learning vs. classical ML approaches
- Ability to implement research papers - but pragmatism to use heuristics when needed
- Experience shipping robust production systems that handle scale, rate limits, and failure modes
