Job DescriptionWe are seeking a skilled Facilities Project Engineer to oversee facilities operations and capital projects. This role will be responsible for managing maintenance activities, leading skilled trade teams and contractors, and ensuring all buildings are operating at peak efficiency.

Key Responsibilities of the Facilities Project Engineer:
- Lead, plan, and coordinate facilities projects, including maintenance, repairs, and construction.
- Supervise a diverse team of skilled and semi-skilled workers, as well as external contractors.
- Conduct regular inspections to ensure all facilities meet safety, compliance, and operational standards.
- Develop preventive maintenance and contingency plans to minimize downtime.
- Prepare annual departmental goals, budgets, and progress reports.
- Oversee service contracts and vendor relationships.
- Draft sketches or plans for facility improvements and ensure accurate estimation of required materials.
- Review and interpret blueprints, working drawings, and technical documentation.
Qualifications of the Facilities Project Engineer:
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Mechanical, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 2 years’ leadership experience in facilities, building, or plant maintenance.
- Strong knowledge of building maintenance practices, tools, and computerized preventive maintenance systems.
- Familiarity with plumbing, electrical, and mechanical systems.
- Understanding of occupational hazards and building safety procedures.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Valid driver’s license and insurability required.
- Must be able to pass a background investigation.
Physical & Work Environment Requirements:
- Ability to lift up to 15 pounds and perform physical tasks such as squatting, kneeling, or prolonged standing.
- Frequent computer use in a primarily climate-controlled office setting.
- Occasional exposure to outdoor elements during inspections and site visits.
