Job Title: Equipment Mechanic

Job Description

Join a dynamic team as an Equipment Mechanic where you will perform preventative maintenance and repairs on various support equipment including forklifts, generators, deicing equipment, fleet vehicles, tugs, golf carts, loaders, UTVs, trams, and more. You will be responsible for modifying equipment, performing minor welding tasks, and documenting completed work orders using CMMS. Utilize computer systems to ensure adequate inventory and troubleshoot hydraulic systems, combustion engines, motors, electrical systems, and electronics.

Responsibilities

  • Perform preventative maintenance on support equipment.
  • Repair and modify equipment as needed.
  • Conduct minor welding tasks.
  • Document completed work orders in CMMS.
  • Utilize computer systems for inventory management.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot hydraulic systems, combustion engines, motors, electrical systems, and electronics.
  • Replace faulty sensors.

Essential Skills

  • Hydraulics expertise with 4 or more years of experience.
  • 4 years of motor repair experience.
  • 4 years of electronic component maintenance.
  • 4+ years of preventative maintenance on heavy equipment or vehicle maintenance.
  • Experience with troubleshooting electrical issues and electronics.
  • Experience with combustion engines and diesel, small gas engines.
  • Ability to read schematics.
  • Experience in diagnosing and troubleshooting various equipment systems.
  • Experience with motors, belts, and bearings.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Experience within forklift, fleet, or heavy equipment maintenance.
  • Auto/fleet experience considered with comprehensive vehicle work.
  • Eligibility for rehire verification required for previous employees.

Work Environment

The shop is climate-controlled, providing a comfortable working condition. The position primarily requires availability for the second shift, working ten-hour days from Tuesday to Friday, 1:30 PM to 12:00 AM. The dress code requires steel-toe boots and attire suitable for working in a potentially dirty environment, with safety gear provided by the employer.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Memphis, TN.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $27.78 - $48.04/hr.
