Job Title: Project Architect
Location: Austin, TX
Hybrid – 4 days on site
Performance Profile
Our client is a full-service architectural design group that blends technology with deep infill-housing expertise. Their mission is to break through the major barriers slowing down housing creation in the U.S.—speed, cost, quality, and predictability—by rethinking how projects are designed and delivered. Their team includes both architects and software engineers who collaborate to create beautiful, highly buildable residential and multifamily projects with far greater efficiency than a traditional practice.
They support urban housing developers in fast-growing U.S. cities and are looking for a talented Project Architect to join their Design Team. This role makes a significant impact by leading the day-to-day execution of two to three projects at a time, each in different stages of design and construction.
Qualifications Required
Work Experience
- 6+ years in an architectural office; licensed professionals preferred but not required
- 1+ years running daily project execution as a Project Architect or Job Captain
- 2+ years in residential architecture required; multifamily experience strongly preferred
Education
- BArch or MArch preferred
Skills
- Leadership: Able to guide small teams (2–3 designers) from land planning through construction administration, fostering strong collaboration.
- Technical Knowledge: Experienced in zoning/building code analysis, residential design, specifications, detailing, and product selection. Proficiency in Revit, Adobe Suite, and Microsoft Office required.
- Client Management: Serve as the primary day-to-day contact for client communication regarding schedules and milestone delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage daily execution for 2–3 residential projects simultaneously
- Oversee staffing, schedules, and workflow
- Conduct building code analyses
- Set up project models, drawings, and documentation
- Lead modeling, design, and execution for all major project milestones
- Report directly to the Studio Director
