We are seeking a dependable, mechanically inclined Machine Operator to operate a CNC laser machine in a clean and organized fabrication environment. In this role, you will cut materials to precise specifications, support a variety of production processes, and have the opportunity to be cross-trained on multiple types of equipment. You will work both independently and as part of a collaborative team, ensuring high-quality output and adherence to safety and production standards.
Responsibilities
- Operate and monitor a CNC laser machine to cut materials according to precise specifications and job requirements.
- Set up machines, adjust controls, and verify that equipment is operating properly before and during production runs.
- Read and interpret job orders, blueprints, and work instructions to ensure accurate machine settings and material processing.
- Perform basic troubleshooting and minor maintenance on machines to resolve routine issues and maintain smooth operations.
- Inspect finished products to ensure quality, accuracy, and adherence to required tolerances.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area in accordance with company standards.
- Assist with operating other production equipment as part of cross-training initiatives.
- Follow all company safety procedures, production guidelines, and standard operating procedures during daily tasks.
- Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors regarding production status, issues, and improvement opportunities.
Essential Skills
- Demonstrated mechanical aptitude and strong problem-solving ability in a production or industrial setting.
- Basic math skills, including measurements, conversions, and understanding tolerances.
- Ability to read and understand production documents, machine instructions, and work orders.
- Capability to operate industrial or manufacturing equipment, with prior machine operation experience preferred.
- Attention to detail and accuracy when setting up machines and inspecting finished products.
- Reliability and dependability in following schedules, instructions, and safety protocols.
- Comfort working both independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Prior experience operating industrial or manufacturing equipment is preferred.
- Experience with CNC equipment, particularly CNC laser machines, is a plus but not required.
- Willingness to learn and be trained on multiple machines and production processes.
- Ability to adapt to cross-training opportunities and expand technical skills within the fabrication environment.

You will work around CNC laser equipment and other production machinery in a manufacturing setting that emphasizes safety, orderliness, and clear work instructions. This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Bridgeville, DE.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $22.00/hr.
