Shift
1st shift: Monday–Friday, 6:30 AM – 3:00 PM
Pay Range: $32.00 – $40.00+/hour (based on experience)
Expected Annual Salary: $66,560 – $83,200+ per year, plus overtime

Responsibilities
- Develop, create, modify, and optimize CNC programs for precision machining operations based on engineering drawings, CAD models, and customer specifications.
- Select appropriate cutting tools, feeds, speeds, tooling strategies, and machining processes to achieve required part quality and production efficiency.
- Review engineering drawings, CAD models, and work instructions to determine machining requirements, tolerances, and sequencing.
- Set up, prove out, and test CNC programs to ensure accuracy, proper tool paths, and safe machine operation.
- Troubleshoot and make program adjustments as needed to improve part quality, cycle times, and overall machining performance.
- Monitor machining processes and make necessary adjustments to feeds, speeds, tooling, and programs to maintain consistent production.
- Inspect and verify completed components using precision measuring instruments such as micrometers, calipers, gauges, and other inspection equipment.
- Document CNC programs, revisions, setup information, tooling requirements, and other required production records.
- Perform mechanical and assembly work as needed to support machining operations.
- Share CNC programming, machining expertise, and process knowledge throughout the machine shop.
- Use sound programming and machining practices to protect CNC machines, tooling, fixtures, and workpieces from potential damage.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Proven experience with CNC programming, including G-code creation, editing, troubleshooting, and optimization.
- Proficiency with Mastercam, including CNC programming and Mastercam Wire applications.
- Strong ability to read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, plans, procedure manuals, and work instructions.
- Strong understanding of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing) principles and their application to precision machining.
- Ability to understand and apply basic mathematics, geometry, measurements, and geometric tolerances in machining and quality control processes.
- Experience with CAD software, such as SolidWorks or similar programs, for part design review and interpretation.
- Experience with CMM inspection methods and the use of precision measuring instruments, including calipers, micrometers, bore gauges, and other inspection equipment.
- Knowledge of SPC (Statistical Process Control), Lean Manufacturing principles, and process improvement methods to improve quality, efficiency, and machining processes.
- Familiarity with tooling selection and setup, cutting tools, fixtures, hand tools, power tools, welding techniques, and mechanical assembly processes.
- Knowledge of electrical discharge machining (EDM) techniques is a plus.
- Experience in plastics injection molding, blow mold manufacturing, or a similar precision manufacturing environment is preferred.
- Ability to safely operate forklifts when required for material handling.
- Ability to troubleshoot machining and programming issues and make adjustments to improve part quality, cycle time, and process efficiency.
- Ability to lift and move up to 50 lbs.
Education and Experience:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Preferably 5+ years of CNC programming experience
- Mastercam experience is a plus
