Epic Application Analyst, Real-Time Engagement
Full-Time/Perm Position
Location: Prefer ATL Based but open to remote candidates in: Alabama, Arkansas, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Louisiana, Michigan, New Hampshire, North Carolina, Ohio, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, Virginia, and Wisconsin.
We are seeking an Epic Application Analyst with hands-on Real-Time Engagement experience to join our dynamic Information Technology team. This position is responsible for the design, build, testing, validation, maintenance, and support of Epic Clinical or Revenue Cycle applications. The analyst will play a key role in cross-functional initiatives, serving as a liaison between IT and clinical/business units, and helping to ensure optimal use of Epic systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, build, test, and support Epic applications, including break-fixes, optimizations, updates, and implementations.
- Serve as a subject matter expert and system educator across clinical and financial departments.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to meet shared goals and support continuous improvement efforts.
- Participate in regular meetings with stakeholders to identify, document, and prioritize system needs.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with Epic partners and internal users to promote effective system utilization.
- Manage complex projects independently and mentor junior analysts in best practices and methodologies.
- Support Epic security processes including assignment, template creation, and maintenance where appropriate.
- Provide on-call support as scheduled and ensure prompt resolution of system issues and support calls.
- Maintain compliance with internal policies and industry regulations, including HIPAA and Joint Commission standards.
- Ensure quality and timeliness of documentation for support, change management, and project status.
- Stay current on Epic version updates and maintain required Epic certifications.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field OR equivalent related experience.
- Experience working with Epic Real-Time Eligibility. RTE certification preferred but not required (must obtain certification within 90 days of hired if not certified).
- Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in clinical, business, or other healthcare operational areas (7 years of experience required if no degree).
- Previous experience with Epic RTE workflows and configurations.
- Strong understanding of healthcare operations and workflows.
- Proven experience in project management, user support, and systems implementation.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational abilities.
- Ability to build positive relationships across departments and organizational levels.
- Creative and strategic thinker capable of managing multiple initiatives simultaneously.
