ABOUT THE JOB:
You will direct maintenance operations by identifying requirements, forecasting resources, and providing oversight for minor construction projects, capital improvement projects, and daily repair tasks. You will oversee and lead maintenance procedures and actions by managing activities for the repair of equipment, building, offices, and grounds. As a strategic leader, the Maintenance Manager is tasked with developing the maintenance team, setting and achieving strategic goals for the department and partnering closely with operations and IT to ensure outcomes are in line with the overall company goals.
YOUR ROLE:
- Estimate annual maintenance budget
- Maintain costs within the budget and quickly communicates issues that might result in a need for additional funding
- Identify current and future maintenance needs; resource planning
- Ensure the department meets legal and OSHA requirements
- Approve and oversee different capital projects (machine purchases and installations or renovation projects)
- Review and approve vendor
- Development and implementation of proactive maintenance strategies and maintenance programs
- Provide leadership and guidance to all maintenance personnel
Requirements:
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
- 2-3 years of experience as a Maintenance Supervisor/Manager in a manufacturing environment
- High School Diploma or High School Equivalent required. Formal Maintenance training/certifications desired
- Proven results in leading others to complete critical projects and supporting a multi-shift operation
- Experience in preventative maintenance, electricity, PLC systems
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Experience in glass manufacturing. Tempering experience a plus
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple priorities
- Ability to see the bigger picture; creative thinking and problem solving
- Strong communication and people skills
- Detailed and organized, with the ability to analyze prioritization of situations and needs
- Proven technical background to develop and grow an internal team; strong electrical knowledge.
